Following a similar recipe to their Cornish Yarg, Lynher Dairies have produced another award winning and striking cheese. Instead of a rind of nettles, this cheese is carefully wrapped in wild garlic leaves from Cornish woodlands, which provide a delicate garlicky flavour and firmer, less crumbly texture.

Yarg was first produced in 1980 after Cornish farmer Alan Gray found a 17th Century recipe for nettle wrapped cheese and decided to recreate it. Today the cheese is produced by Catherine Mead at Lynher Dairies in the small village of Ponsanooth in Cornwall.
